For women who are used to being the strong one and are ready to put some of that down.
Finding your way forward isn't always clear.
Rooted in Real Wellness is centered on supporting high-functioning Black women navigating relational burnout, emotional overload, and life transitions.
This work often extends into the relationships they’re part of — with partners, within families, and even in the spaces they lead — where these same patterns tend to show up in different ways.
Many of the women I work with are used to being the one who holds things together — in their relationships, their families, and often in their work.
They’re capable. They show up. People rely on them.
And over time, that role can become automatic.
What once felt like strength or responsibility can start to feel heavy, confusing, or difficult to sustain — even if everything on the outside looks fine.
That’s usually where things start to shift.
This work creates space to take a closer look at what’s been shaping how you show up.
Not just what’s happening — but what’s been driving it.
Because the patterns that show up in your relationships don’t exist in isolation — they’re shaped by the roles you’ve learned, the expectations you’ve carried, and the way responsibility has been distributed over time.
When those patterns become clearer, it becomes possible to make decisions with more intention, set boundaries that actually hold, and move differently in your relationships without losing yourself in the process.
Whether you’re focusing on your own growth or working through challenges within a relationship or family, I help translate insight into meaningful action — so you can move forward in a way that feels more honest, more sustainable, and more aligned with who you are.
I’m D’Angela Mark, LAMFT
I tend to notice patterns pretty quickly.
The ones people talk about—and the ones they don’t always realize they’re repeating.
In my work, I’m paying attention to how things are being carried.
Who takes on more than their share.
Who smooths things over.
Who holds things together when everything else feels like it might fall apart.
A lot of that doesn’t get named right away.
It just feels like “this is how things are.”
Until it doesn’t.
The work we do together isn’t about rushing to fix anything.
It’s about slowing things down enough to actually see what’s been shaping how you show up—so your choices start to come from clarity instead of habit.
I’m not big on scripts or telling people what they should do.
I’m more interested in helping you understand what’s actually happening—so you can decide what works for you and what doesn’t.
You’ll get honesty here.
You’ll get reflection.
And you’ll have space to think through things in a way that doesn’t feel rushed or surface-level.
Short, focused spaces to start seeing your patterns more clearly.
These workshops help you recognize what’s been happening beneath the surface — especially around emotional load, boundaries, and relationship dynamics — and begin thinking about what needs to shift.
A space to step out of doing everything on your own.
These small, guided groups are designed for women who are ready to look at the patterns behind their emotional load, hear themselves in others’ experiences, and begin shifting how they relate to themselves and others.
A guided walking experience for women ready to pause, breathe, and release the weight of the week before the weekend begins.
I also work with leaders and teams who are trying to make sense of what’s not working beneath the surface.
Because the same patterns that show up in personal relationships often show up at work — in communication, expectations, and how responsibility gets carried.
